A way to delight children riding elevators with their parents, a wall of 600 arcade-style buttons that illuminate different colors when pressed.

600 Distracting, clicky buttons

Children love to push buttons in elevators (frankly, don't we all?). This provided a full wall of delightfully clicky buttons to push.

An array of 12 panels composed of 50 buttons was fabricated using a local MN arcade shop's custom lighting boards and arcade buttons. Each panel daisy-chained the buttons into a matrix that was controlled by a single Arduino Mega. Power was then distributed and injected across the boards.

When a button was pressed, it would illuminate in the brand's color briefly before the whole wall would clear itself and allow for more playing.
